ARCA Mount Retrofit Kit

ARCA Mount Retrofit Kit. This kit will allow you to change out the mount on any of our Picatinny Model Bipods with our ARCA mount. This allows you to take advantage of the stability and fast positional changes of the bipod along the foreend of the rifle. Half of accuracy is comfort!

Instructions for Retrofit

Remove the two #8-32x 1/2 screws in the gimbal. Pull the Turret off the gimbal with the mount. Leave the compression springs in the gimbal component. They simply push into the 4 holes on the gimbal.

On the underside of the turret/mount assembly that you have removed there is a snap ring that requires a snap ring tool to remove. Remove the snap ring and pop the Picatinny mount out of the Turret. Replace the picatinny mount with the ARCA and place the snap ring in the groove to secure.

Enusre the springs are in the bores on the gimbal component. Push the turret/ARCA mount down onto the springs. You should feel the springs squeeze into the bore holes on the underside of the turret component. Use loctite #263 (Red Thread Locker) on the threads of new #8-32 screws that came with the kit. Insert the screws and tighten as tight as you can reasonably get it. Let the loctite sit over night. The first time you try to cant the bipod may be stiff but it should loosen up after a couple of tries of canting the rifle. You are read! Head to the range!
